Day 8 Whale Shark III - The Final
Death Blow April 24, 1999
In 1947, in a small New Mexican town, a crack squad of
tour-guides, travel agents, and boat captains met in a secret meeting at the local Ramada
Inn. At this meeting the team agreed, in order to boost waning travel sales, (most likely
due to the world’s recent strife at the time, and the advent of the computer) they
would lay out a new plan, which they called "The Other New Deal", or
"T.O.N. of D." They hatched a conspiracy so grand it would go on for years
undetected and they and their kin for generations to come would reap the benefits. It was
to be big and dangerous, exciting and rare, subtle yet larger then life. One travel agent,
by the name of Del Vanderbeek, insisted that it must have the ability to produce offspring
without mating, at the whim and folly of its own choosing. "5 a year!"
Vanderbeek would cry out. (Venderbeek was found, later in life, to be a few folds short of
a clean sheet.) This proved to be the most successful cover-up of our time, and only at
the highest ranking travel coordination level, are you given a copy of the Whale Shark
Files.
We are not sure when or how but we feel that if we
continue to give our time and money, eventually we too will become members of this
exclusive group…………… |
